I collected another highly commended award from the SWPP for this image from the wedding photography for Vicky and Joe’s recent wedding.
Update: the SWPP upgraded this to Gold award photograph during their annual review, I was both surprised and delighted when the certificate appeared in the post!
The gold award winning wedding photograph. Awarded by the SWPP (Wedding Reportage).
Another picture that I have entered into the SWPP competition has collected a highly commended award. As I watched the little girl move from guest to guest at a recent wedding, I was convinced she would offer someone some of her bun. Sure enough, she did and I took the picture you see below.
Looking forward to getting more like this as time goes by.
Well, I blog about a photograph that won and award and soon after another image is awarded highly commended status!
Whilst visiting Sydney Australia I found myself at a wonderful vantage point looking out over the harbour bridge. I was lucky with the weather and cloud formations and composed this shot. The SWPP awarded it a highly commended in the landscape category of the competition.
Although this isn’t a wedding or portrait shot, I still take landscapes and other styles to assist me with ideas and other useful techniques that I can employ when shooting a wedding. Many techniques are usually not appropriate but the only way to improve is to try and experiment.
This photograph won a highly commended award from the SWPP earlier in the year and I thought I would share it (I love monochrome images!).
