We had a super day with Emily recently giving her a makeover and then taking portrait photographs. Currently we are a little cramped for space here in Chesterfield but we soon aim to change all that.
As ever, Allison used her considerable make-up skills to get Emily ready for the day’s shoot and then we started the picture taking. Check out Allison’s makeover and make-up information on our sister site makeovertoday.co.uk
What were the results? Well, here are some of the pictures – starting with the before and after!
Well, I blog about a photograph that won and award and soon after another image is awarded highly commended status!
Whilst visiting Sydney Australia I found myself at a wonderful vantage point looking out over the harbour bridge. I was lucky with the weather and cloud formations and composed this shot. The SWPP awarded it a highly commended in the landscape category of the competition.
Although this isn’t a wedding or portrait shot, I still take landscapes and other styles to assist me with ideas and other useful techniques that I can employ when shooting a wedding. Many techniques are usually not appropriate but the only way to improve is to try and experiment.
This photograph won a highly commended award from the SWPP earlier in the year and I thought I would share it (I love monochrome images!).
